HISTORY
The Amro (or Amr) Family, from the Taghlibi Tribe, migrated from the area of present day Yemen north through Arabia, Mesopotamia, Syria, and Turkey to Lebanon, where they settled down finally in the Province of Kisrawan, in the town of Moisssara.  Click here for a detailed family history.

Our family's poet is 'Amr ibn Kulthum al-Taghlibi, and our ode "al-Mu'allaqah" is one of the seven odes which are said to have been hung in the marketplace in Makkah during the 7th century for the public to read.
